The performance of an enterprise is related to whether the enterprise can survive under the fierce competition environment, and it comes from the task performance of an employee’s daily work. With the push of mobile communications, e-mail, video meeting and so on, most employees are still actively or passively busy with work related things during off-job time, and they are hard to detach from work. In order to cope with work pressure and job demands, employees need not only professional knowledge and skills, but also need to have a good state of mind and body. Therefor, from the the perspective of organizational behavior and human resource management, organizations need consider the relationship between psychological detachment and task performance.Based on Conservation of Resources Theory and Effort-Recovery Model and from the perspective of employees in which circumstances can show their best performance levels, this study constructs a model focusing on the effects of daily psychological detachment on daily task performance. Based on the theory’s basic assumptions, this study promotes some hypotheses, including: the direct effect of daily psychological detachment on daily task performance; the mediator model which is to explain why daily psychological detachment affects daily task performance; the boundary condition of the effects of daily psychological detachment on daily task performance, daily effect as moderator.To test hypotheses, this study use the daily survey method. In daily surveys, through daily paper questionnaires and electronic questionnaire are distributed into two manufacturing enterprises, and 216 valid questionnaires were collected. On the basis of reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and common method variance analysis, this research examines the hypothesis by hierarchical linear modeling(HLM).The empirical results show the relationship between daily psychological detachment and daily task performance. Daily psychological detachment positively and significantly affects daily task performance; Daily psychological detachment affects daily task performance through daily work engagement; When an employee holds the lower level of daily positive effect, the positive relationship between daily psychological detachment and daily work engagement will be boost; When an employee holds the higher level of daily positive effect, daily psychological detachment will have a negative effect on daily work engagement; When an employee holds the lower level of daily negative effect, the positive relationship between daily psychological detachment and daily task performance will be strengthen; When an employee holds the higher level of daily positive effect, daily psychological detachment negativity affects daily task performance.Based on the results of this research, in order to motivate employees to develop their highest level of performance, especially in given time, enterprise manager can matching workloads according to employees’ ability, guiding employees to achieve psychological detachment, appropriately control the influence of positive effects, trying to exert the benefits of negative effects, promoting restored resources engaged in work tasks; guiding employees’ resources to handle with work tasks.
