| With the advance of world economic integration process, oil industry has become a significant global business trends. Deepening of economic globalization and China’s accession to WTO make China’s oil industry face fierce competition. With the big foreign oil companies entering Chinese market, international competitiveness becomes domestic competition,domestic market is getting intense. Oil is a scarce resource,as a basis industry,the oil industry has an important role for the healthy development of the national economy and national political and military security. Therefore, to improve the competitiveness of China’s petroleum industry has important practical significance.In order to analyze the competitiveness of China’s oil industry,the meaning of industrial competitiveness and the basic characteristics of the oil industry are discussed,and the factors affecting the competitiveness are analyzed. Then the evaluation index system of oil and industrial competitiveness is built. On the basis of the index system, use entropy-gray correlation method to compare oil industry competitiveness of China with United States,Canada,Britain,Russia,Saudi Arabia,Nigeria,and Venezuela from the scale of resource,sustainable development,operation management,environmental factors. The results show that the Chinese oil industry competitiveness in these four aspects still has a gap with other countries. Industrial competitiveness needs to be improved. Finally some suggestions to enhance the competitiveness of oil industry are proposed. |
