Research On China’s Natural Gas Industry Competitiveness Based On The Gray Relative Analysis

Natural gas is a clean and efficient energy. With the increase of oil and coal supplypressure and the development of low-carbon economy, natural gas industry is attracting theattention of community. Attracted by the economic crisis in2008, the pace of Chineseeconomic development has declined. The stable supply of energy is important for thedevelopment of China’s economy, make full use of natural gas is the only way for China toadjust its energy structure. In face of the intensity competition in international nature gasmarket, stronger natural gas industry competitiveness is essential to win the nature gascompetition.In order to analysis the competitiveness of China’s natural gas industry, this paper hasdone some work as follows: discuss the connotation of industry competitiveness and thecharacteristics of natural gas industry; Designed industry competitiveness evaluation indexsystem of natural gas on the base of taking industrial competitiveness as the core and give fullconsideration to natural gas current development and its influence factors. From scale strength,development potential, management ability and external environment four aspects use greycorrelation degree to compare china’s natural gas industry with the natural gas industry ofUnited States, Canada, Britain, Russia, Kazakhstan and Norway. According to the result,China’s natural gas industry competitiveness should be further enhanced in the four aspects.Finally aimed at the conclusion of this result put forward some targeted recommendations,with a view to be helpful to the development of china’s natural gas industry.
