Since reform and opening-up policy implementation, especially after China joined WTO, more and more foreign companies come to China and establish plants. At the same time, domestic companies also develop quickly. China is involved in more and more commercial activities in worldwide. The volume and frequency of material flow keeps growing. B Company’s circumstance is very popular in China, no matter in foreign companies or private enterprises. The current study is focusing on Raw Production Material Supplier selection, and Third Party Logistics Service Providers care about the customs service level and company competition capability enhancement. Through analyzing B Company’s case, technical third party logistics service provider selection flow i s set up, which meets company development’s need. So it is worth study, other companies which meet similar problem can refer to it.In this thesis, first, the background of B Company is introduced. Current status of domestic and overseas study about Third Party Logistics Service Providers selection and related theories are specified. Secondly, the logistics demands and current operation status of B Company are introduced. By analyzing the practice experience, actual logistics cost statistics, and collecting the internal opinion by Brain Storming, the existing problems comes out. In order to solve the problems in current logistic operation in B Company, Third Party Logistics Service Provider Evaluation System is set up to optimize the current providers. Then through referring to existing studies, the indicators of Procurement and indicators of Third Party Logistics are listed, the indicators about the actual logistics demands of B company are discussed during interviews. Then all the candidate indicators are filtered, classified and categorized by Delphi method. The importance comparison between the indicators are processed through questionnaire, and the weight of each indicator is confirmed. The evaluation standard of each indicator is finalized. After the collection of the information from candidate service providers’ proposal, each candidate service provider gets score in each indicator according to their proposal. Then the optimized Third Party Logistics Service Provider is selected technically. Finally, KPI check is applied by B company to evaluate the daily performance of the selected service providers. Cost analysis and internal satisfaction survey are processed to evaluates the benefits of the optimization which is to settle the problems in B Company third party logistics operation.In this thesis, the theory learned in the class is applied to real case in daily work, which provides a practical solution to company’s problem.
