With the rapid development of electric industry to mature, the competition is much keen, the develop cycle becomes shorter, cost lower, and high demand of quality, above three key points are the root elements for the enterprise can get the order or not. The electric manufactory industry is facing a tough period, quality is the soul of company, and the treasured tricks of if we can get orders and programs. Therefore, during producing, efficient quality control has become the company kore.S company is a traditional subcontracting of manufactory, since we have got the development authorize of Robot cables, but facing the previous products’ high failure rate, assembling and function defect rate high, quality cost high, all those issues are fatal, hens, we need to improve products and company competition ability by fixing above problems in new products development and producing. This article based on the status of previous products from S company, using quality control method and tools to deep research and study previous generation products.This article based on project quality control theory, using quality seven methods, process capability index and mean time between failure(MTBF) as tools, to discuss and analysis products development and design, small amount and mass manufacturing three steps insert Robot cable products key quality issue(e.g. BOM, tooling, first pass yield and pass rate). In the step of EVT program evaluation, choose suppliers, propose solution to BOM auditor, raw material and products’ evaluation; In step of DVT program design, propose solution to the human flow and assembling reasonability. In step of MVT small amount manufactory testing, propose solution to mode admit, evaluation for supplier mass manufacturing and products reliability. With the quality cost comparison previous and present products, proved research worked out. After a series improving, Theproducts one time pass rate up to 98% from last generation 95%, quality cost lower 50%, hit the target of expectation for this article and actual program.Quality management always enhance the concept that prevent better then treat, the stable quality in new products development is the foundation of success and key point of lower cost. There is a leading point in this article for the products on quality management, and this method and thought still has reference value for other products development.
