With the social progress and process of industrialization, the shortage of water resource is more and more prominent. Water shortage has become the restriction to the sustainable development of our society. In China, the shortage of resources people living on is more and more serious, and the living environment continues to worsen, so people more and more realize the importance of saving energy and control pollution and then the development of water treatment has its opportunity now. Under the environment of rapid development in China, especially under the background of socialist economic construction, it is significant to research on water treatment field.With years of development, Qingdao university of science and technology Haifeng Chemicals Co., Ltd has certain market shares in the field and also has some reputation. As an enterprise which developed earlier in this field, how to understand itself and its competitors, how to draw up correct development mode and strategy, how to improve competitive strength, and how to set up core competence to get the advantage in market competition, these are questions which are worth the considerations of the enterprise. During the process of drawing up strategy, what problems the enterprise has and how to overcome them, these are the issues that the enterprise should resolve.This article is an application of the theory of enterprise strategy management in practical problems. During the research, analytical methods of SWOT, Porter’s Five Forces Model and PEST are used to analyze the external environment of the company from political, economic, social and technological aspects, and the internal status of production, sales, finance, technology and HR. It summarizes external opportunities and threats of company and internal advantages and disadvantages, finds out the problems existing in the company and sets up feasible development strategy and implementation strategy. This article provides a case reference for enterprise development strategy in water treatment field, and aims to provide reference for the research on development strategy for domestic water treatment field.
