The transformation of global energy regime is in accord with the change of global political and economic pattern. Hence, the global energy regime is also developing into multi-polarization. India is an emerging power and a major energy consuming country at the same time. In order to deal with energy shortage crisis derived from India’s rapid economic growth, India is carrying out a series of new energy strategies, developing new energy resources on one hand, employing energy diplomacy and cooperation globally on the other. Recently, many countries are discussing the possibility of becoming an "Energy Hub", so that gaining more power and benefits. India has the same intention and is spontaneously developing into an "Energy Hub" because of its large energy demand and industrial concentration. This paper is going to define the concept of "Energy Hub" with four dimensions, which are Energy Pathway, Energy Trade, Energy Pricing Power and the Energy Geopolitics. From the concept, we will distinguish the "Energy Hubs" from potentials and reevaluate India’s energy position in the region and the world. It can be concluded that by certain ports and cities India has become an emerging "Energy Hub" in Asia. As an "Energy Hub", India holds both the hinterland development model and the transshipment development model. And India has the ability to spread its influence to other parts of Asia-Pacific. In short term, India will ask for more energy power by its "Energy Hub" status, thereby easing its energy security pressure, while at the same time, there will be less opportunities for India to cooperate with other major energy consumers. However, with the readjustment of India’s energy consumption structure, the new energy resources will account more, India’s "Energy Hub" position will bring more cooperative chances for others.
