Research On The Application Effect Evaluation Of ERP System Of Taiyuan Electric Power Company

With the advent of the information age, the world has become a platform based on information. Therefore, in order to become an important competitive strength, it is necessary to improve the company’s information technology if the power enterprises remaining invincible position in the fierce competition. As a kind of basic information system, ERP plays an important role in the construction of enterprise information, especially in the development and supervision of the power system. ERP integrates all the enterprise resources, which include logistics, capital flow, and information flow. Taiyuan electric power company only used the ERP system in the original management information platform to update; it did not take effective measures to evaluate the application effect of the new system. With some problems, it is very necessary to establish a set of scientific and accurate evaluation system to measure the application effect of ERP in Taiyuan Electric Power Company.First of all, this paper introduces the basic theory and main function of ERP system. Secondly, we conclude the necessity of implementing ERP by analyzing the status of ERP application in detail in the power industry. This chapter sums up the problems appeared in the application of ERP implementation through researching and analyzing the Taiyuan Electric Power company ERP application modules which including financial module, material module, project module, equipment module, human resources modules. In order to ensure that indicators of authenticity, objectivity and reliability, furthermore, we design and construct the evaluation system based on balanced score card which from the four aspects of financial indicators, customer index, internal business indicators and learning and growth indicators. Finally, the evaluation of ERP application effect uses Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process method which providing a more objective, comprehensive, true method to Taiyuan Electric Power Company. This evaluation method provides a useful reference for the Taiyuan Electric Power company on the ERP application and enterprise information management level.
