Research On Dawukou Thermal Power Plant Desulfurization Gypsumsales Logistics

Coal is the most important primary energy in China, more than half of which is utilized in thermal power plant. Wet desulfurization, which is very popular in China, is efficient and reliable in removing SO2 in flue gas from coal combusiton, the by-product called desulfurization gypsum can be used in many fields such as building materials. However, managers of most power plant face same difficulties in selling gypsum, they find that the sales process is complex, logistics cost is high, inventory management is improper, which cause low economic efficiency, waste of resources, environmental pollution and other problems, it is profitabe to solve them.Dawukou Thermal Power Co., a typical power plant in northwest China, is analyzed as a sample in this paper. Firstly, the theoretical basis of sales logistics is explained with the product quality of gypsum. Secondly, to optimize the sales process and simplify the sales process. Thirdly,the characteristics of desulfurization gypsum and the logistics in Dawukou area are introduced. Fourthly, in order to solve these problems, the optimization measures are offered including optimizing organization structure, building distribution center, adjusting transport process and so on. Finally, a gypsum sales logistics information system is founded, which consists of production, sales, inventory and logistics process, and used to achieve efficient management.It shows that inventory optimization is beneficial to the operation management of desulfurization system, gypsum sales logistics information system is efficient in realizing the automation management, economic performance of gypsum sales can be significantly improved, these optimizitons are good option for Dawukou Thermal Power Co. to enhance the competitiveness under the New Normal economic situation. It improve the economic efficiency, environmental benefit, sociology benefit of Dawukou Thermal Power Co., it also provides valuable reference of gypsum marketing logistics for other thermal power plant’s.
