| In recently years, the decreasive growth of economics in China has been impacting the construction industry and its competition. It’s the key of construction development to increase the comprehensive managerial ablitity of project managers, who deal with the time, resource, cost, quality and other factors in project activities. So, the study about how to improve the managerial capacity and the effectiveness is necessary and important in theory and practice.The modern management master, Peter · Drucker, has been considering that there are two aspects of evectiveness of managers. One aspect is about completing works in time, another is about doing the right things. Based on the Druke’s thougt, the questionnaire in order to analyze the effectiveness of construction project managers is presented, which includes 19 questions. And then, about 118 questionnaires were collected from the construction project managers in Dalian city. Several problems and characristics have been found through data anlyses. Finally, the solution proposal has been given.The main research work of this paper is to analyze the performance characteristics, managerial effectiveness of Dalian constrction project managers, based on the collective data of questionnaire which is designed according to Drucker’s management thought. Through the paper study, some proposals have been presented to improve the effectiveness of project managers. At last, the Drucker’s management thought about effectiveness has been proved in some degree. We hope the study and its results do some help in further research and project managerial activities. |
