The project team management plays an important role in the entire project management and the performance appraisal of the project team management is a significant part in it which not only relates to the whole project team management but also has decisive effect on achieving the goal of the project construction. Team is the main part of the project construction and how to arouse the enthusiasm and initiative of project team members to the greatest extent is a key factor for the success or failure of the project. In fact, the development field of the project management team in our country is far from the international level, and the reason is that our project managers often ignore the project team management only focuses on the main management aspect which has a blocking effect on the further improvement of the level of project construction of our country.This paper sets up a performance appraisal system and assessment method of project management team on the basis of the research status of performance appraisal of the domestic and foreign project management team. Firstly, this thesis creatively selects project management team as the object of performance appraisal and makes the deep research and analysis of the performance of it. Secondly, the paper establishes a set of comparatively reasonable performance appraisal index system of the project management team through reading a great deal of literature about project management performance appraisal in home and abroad and makes a detailed explanation on the indexes of the index system. Thirdly, this article chooses the analytic hierarchy process (ahp) and the questionnaire survey methods combined with the index system established in this paper to make the comprehensive evaluation of the performance of project management team. The analytic hierarchy process (ahp) is used to determine the weight of each index in the index system and questionnaire investigation is for the judgment of final performance of the project management team. Finally, this paper puts forward the corresponding countermeasures and Suggestions of performance appraisal related to the project through putting the established index system of performance appraisal and the selected assessment method into the project empirical study to check its feasibility and practicability and makes concrete analyses on the specific issues.This paper has sorted out the research works of relative references in the respective research area and makes the comprehensive analysis of them combined with the practice of the project management experience of the author and his family, in hope to provide a reasonable scientific and feasible performance appraisal method and index system of project management team to give the updated reference basis for the construction of the project management team of our country.
