| With the issue of car policy and growing demand, vehicle ro/ro industry has become an important branch of logistics industry, and it shows fast development. Due to the particularity of automobile ro/ro industry, the requirement for the vehicle logistics capability has been improved. As one of four big domestic ro/ro wharf, Tianjin port is facing the complicated competition and market environment, Tianjin ro-ro terminal need to use their own advantages, then attach importance to automobile ro/ro business, to solve the problem in its development.In this paper, it makes a research on the development strategy of Tianjin ro-ro wharf, provide important guidance for the development of the vehicle logistics. This article first discusses related theories of ro/ro wharf, after using the SWOT analysis model and PEST tool to make a deep analysis about the present situation of the development of Tianjin ro/ro terminal, internal and external environment, advantage disadvantage, opportunities and threats and so on, and summarizes the problems existing in the development. Targeted Suggestions are put forward. Then on the basis of these analyses, there is a simple analysis and forecast on the volume of business in Tianjin port. Finally according to the analysis on the development of Tianjin ro/ro terminal,it has put forward corresponding strategy plan and countermeasures, (including the specific countermeasure and the overall strategy.
