The Study On Process Analysis And Improvement Strategy Of International Settlement In N Bank Jiangsu Province

International settlement is the intermediate business of commercial bank. At the same time, it is a major profit center of commercial bank. China’s banking industry is gradually showing international situation after China enter into WTO. The mainland commercial banks began to plan business development in the perspective of globalization. As a necessary tool for foreign exchange settlement, it’s core position require more attention from bank. However, due to the late start of international settlement business, the gap between international banks and China’s commercial banks is wide. Therefore, commercial banks began to seek operational process optimization methods to improve business performance and meet customer needs.How to response to the global banking industry competition, achieving customer-focused and market-oriented business model is an urgent problem of China’s commercial banksIn view of this, we optimize and analyse four types International settlement processes of N Bank Jiangsu Province from the perspective of the overall system. We also put forward the suggestion of process improvement and the index system of process evaluation. First, we introduce the theoretical basis and the techniques and methods of process analysis and optimization detailed. Secondly, we analyse the time, efficiency and cost of benchmarking enterprises in banking industry to leads the necessity and urgency of the process reengineering of N Bank Jiangsu Province. Thirdly, we analyze the essential problem of the international Settlement process in N Bank Jiangsu Province, with a focus on process of import letter of credit, export letter of credit, inward remittance and outward remittance. Fourthly, we improve and optimize existing international settlement on the basis of process analysis in order to establish a intensive business process model-documentation center model. Finally, we establish the performance evaluation mechanism for international settlement business process optimization system from the perspective of the customer satisfaction, process maturity assessment and comprehensive perspective separately. Comprehensive use of entropy method and the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to empowerment the indicators. The matter-element model is established and the multistage reliability of the International settlement process is evaluated by applying the method of extenics evaluation. The suggestions and countermeasures have been put forward so as to improve the effect of International settlement process.
