With the continuous development of port economy and transformation and upgrading of our industrial, The model of collection and distribution in port areas gradually become to the core element of logistics chain which improve the overall competitiveness. Since the railway transport is safe and economical, it has always played an important role in port transport system. In terms of ports which economic hinterlands are inland, developing rail transports, optimizing the port rail collection and distribution model is of great significance.This article bases on the research about development and application of collection and distribution theory in port rail area both at home and aboard, analyzes briefly the development status and trends of the port railway collection and distribution model, Combines with the current demand characteristics of port rail collection and distribution systems and the issues of railway freight organizational reform which need to further improve, Defines the forms and tasks of optimized collection and distribution models in port rail area, Bases on this, studies the Port Rail regional adaptability capacity by forecasting traffic and counting capacity. And for the problems of structural characteristics in port rail collection and distribution patterns, proposes optimizing mainly Countermeasures of Port Rail collection and distribution system.Finally, use the countermeasure to Zhan-Jiang Port, proposes optimizing tips to its collection and distribution pattern system. And combine with the actual case to reflect further problems in the course of optimizing collection and distribution model in port rail area. Draw final conclusions.
