Research On The Improvement Of Collection And Distribution Network Of Port Grain Logistics In Fujian Province

The grain logistics is an important part of the modern logistics industry, which support and protect the grain distribution industry, The costs and the efficiency of the logistics related much to the use of resources, grain security and even the country’s economic development. In Fujian Province, the arable land is scarce, while the population keep increasing and grain output keep decreasing, the demand-supply gap of grain become more and more obvious year by year, Fujian has to relied on purchase of grain from other province to meet the balance of supply and demand, and become one of the major grain purchasing area in China. So it is of great significance for Fujian Province to do the following things, develop the modern grain logistics industry, and keep the grain- purchase and grain distribution channels smooth, improve grain storage and transportation conditions and ensure the grain security. Fujian Construction Plan of the Modern Grain Logistics Facilities pointed out the necessity to improve the proportion of waterway transportation for grain purchase from other province, compared with other modes of transport, water transport cost much less.So reasonable planning of the waterway transportation has a vital role in control costs and improve efficiency of grain logistics. The port as the conversion junction point of waterway and land transport, plays a good role in grain loading and warehousing ect. Build a smooth and efficient collection and distribution network of port grain logistics is the key of planning the the grain logistics waterway transportation.The research object of this paper is collection and distribution network in port grain logistics of Fujian Province. This paper starts with the theory, not only summarizing the research of domestic and foreign grain logistics and port collection and distribution network, but also sorting out the summary of the relevant theory. Based on theoretical analysis and collection collation of data, this paper give quantitative evaluation to the current structure status of port grain longistic network including the status of supply and demand,the status of supplyer and demander, the current status of port and transport, and pointed out the problems exists in the collection and distribution network.In order to solve the problems exists in collection and distribution network of port grain logistics in Fujian Province, this paper give solution to relative problems from both routes level and node level. On the routes level, the cost of the logistics reflects the consumption of social resources, Starting from the perspective of taking full use of transport capacity and taking the lowest total cost of logistics as target, this paper make model to improve the collection and distribution routes of grain transport network by using GAMS software. The model result picks the collection and distribution routes which require least logistics costs and distribute the flow direction and flow quantity of grain reasonably. On the node level, the goal is to improve the efficiency of the collection and distribution network, and mainly discuss the port development strategy. To cope with rising throughput pressure, make proposals on port positioning, facilities, mode of distribution and value-added services based on the routes improvement.
