Along with rapid development of socioeconomic.people’s living standard has also been improved.The dining concept of food and clothing has been substituted by high-quality dinging experience of delicious food.China’s catering industry is growing in high speed.The high developing speed of the industry makes the catering company, especially the SME.facing enormous challenges while meeting the opportunities.In order to remain invincible in the competition.the key issue is how to reduce the costs in catering company.Among the catering company costs. procurement costs accounted more than 50%. so control the procurement costs is the primary issue.At present,procurement management in most SME of catering industry remains management experience.They don’t have enough scientific method to control the procurement costs.L catering company is a typical example. In this paper,standing on the actual operating of L company,we introduce the supplier management,apply the supplier management as the core ideas and main analysis line to analyze the procurement costs in L company.By specific analysis of L company.we can see the problems in supplier’s selection.classification.assessing and relationship management.Appoint to the actual situation of L company.this paper introduces a new method------supplier management into procurement costs control.such as upgrading the supplier’s selection.classifying suppliers in a scientific method by ABC classification.assessing suppliers reasonably by analytic hierarchy process and using incentives and punishment to control supplier’s relationship management.Against to the problems in the procurement costs control.the program which using supplier management as core.raising corresponding suggestions to reduce the procurement costs of L company, to strive for greater profit margins.in order to enhance the company’s overall competitiveness.This paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter introduces the background, purpose and significance of the research;the second chapter expounds the circumscription of procurement and the cost control of procurement,analyzes theories about the supply chain management and the supplier management;the third chapter aiming to the actual situation of the company,researches the current situation of L catering company deeply,identifies the shortcomings and problems in the current cost control of procurement,put forward an idea to make the cost control of procurement being perfected;the forth chapter is the key section of this paper,combining with the actual situation of the company,some suggestions are proposed to solve the problems in the core idea of supplier management in this chapter;The fifth chapter is the conclusion of this paper.
