Research On The Optimization Of OL Company International Purchasing Costs

The development of economic globalization has been continuously promoting technological improvement and innovation.With the weakness of technical barriers and the influx of a large number of competitors,the industry competition has become increasingly fierce.Intense competition has forced companies to find ways to reduce corporate costs and increase the competitiveness of their products.In the process of economic globalization,technology plays a less and less important role in reducing product prices.Procurement management,as a new profit growth point,are increasingly cared about by more and more companies.This thesis takes OL company as the research object,analyzes the problems in its international procurement,and tries to find ways to help OL company to reduce the purchase cost.To begin with,introducing the relevant theories that will be used in the later part of this thesis,including theories related to procurement management,supplier management-related theories,and procurement cost-related theories.Secondly,this thesis introduces the general situation of OL company and the industry background;then using related analysis methods related,such as American Society of Mechanical Engineers(ASME)standard,to analyze the current status of OL company’s procurement process,supplier management,and cost management in procurement;Also,combined with the actual situation,the main problems in the purchasing management of OL company were found;and the reasons of the problems were analyzed by the fish bone map method.Finally,aiming at these problems,this thesis suggests some corresponding optimization plans.By increasing the procurement department’s position,putting the supplier’s development process forward and electronizing purchase information to optimize the OL company’s procurement process;Using the ABC classification method to classify OL company’s suppliers and manage them respectively,establish strategic partnership with important suppliers,also select the best supplier by applying Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP).Under the theory of total cost of ownership,this thesis analyzes the hidden costs of OL company’s various procurement strategies and helps OL company to find the solution with the lowest total cost of ownership.The related researches of OL company in this thesis could help OL company to shorten the purchasing cycle to a certain extent,reduce supplier management cost and strengthen the concern of hidden cost.This thesis has strong guiding significance in the actual cost control of OL company,and also has certain reference effects for other peer companies.
