Food is that people can survive and thrive in the basic material information; on the other hand and due to food safety issues have become increasingly prominent; so food safety naturally became the focus of public concern. To protect people’s life and health. In some developed countries, the food safety regulatory system reform has g one through hundreds of year’s history, its food safety related laws and regulations, technical standards and system have become more and more perfect. While China’s food safety is still at the initial stage, so it is necessary to learn from the regulatory system in developed countries, to find suitable for our own food safety supervision system.In view of the problems existed in the supervision of food safety in China, this paper first uses the external characteristics of the food safety analysis, again from the perspective of information asymmetry of choice between producers and consumers. And on the regulation of food safety in China from the four aspects of the analysis, then draw lessons from successful experience acquired by the developed countries in food safety supervision, and puts forward the measures to effectively solve the problem of China’s food safety supervision. This has a practical significance for the protection of China’s food safety, but also to deal with the problem of food safety in China is a major challenge of the theoretical basis.Introduction, the main content is the research background, research significance, domestic and foreign literature review and research methods, etc.In the first chapter, it introduces the relevant theories of government regulation of food safety, and defines the core concepts related to food safety.
