The transmission line and the transformer substation project construction is the company’s major, also is the enterprise’s main profit originates, the engineering project management level has decided the project success or failure, also has finally decided the enterprise’s profit size. The XX power transformer company’s existing organizational structure form and the project management pattern are unsuitable to the crowded project construction situation, already could not meet the multi-project management need. The project management office enhances the organization project management maturity as the core department, it is project-oriented, also proved to be effective in the multi-project management. It has the feasibility and necessity to induct and apply PMO in XX power transformer company.The main purpose of this article is to establish and run PMO for the power transformer construction enterprise.Firstly it analyzed XX power transformer company’s existing organizational structure form, and points out its self-defect. According to the principle that strategy has the main power decision on organizational structure, it adjusted the company organizational structure and established strategic PMO and subsidiary company PMO. In order to make more stronger foundation for the PMO, it designed and discussed support system construction and the communication way establishment. According to the PMO’s implementation strategy, it should first focus in the short-term service demand and get the rapid solution on realistic question. Only in this way can the PMO obtain the increment effect and increase the belief. Then the strategic office proposed the long-term solution and the standardized frame in a broader foundation. Strategic PMO made plans and took some measures in project management such as priority sorting and combination management, resource management, re-contract management. Some project management methodology suitable for XX power transformer company has been formed. Through the further application of strategic PMO in an extra-high voltage engineering project, more methods and experiences can be expected to get to enrich and complete the strategic PMO’s function. |
