Research On Risk Management Of Construction Agents In Railway-Involved Projects

As China has gained significant social and economic development in recent years and construction project scale invested by the government increases year by year, more and more urban road construction requires to construct overpasses that go across railway business lines. Though agent construction system has gradually replaced traditional system as a management pattern for projects invested by the government, research of the system remains at theoretical exploration stage and that of agent construction management risk control for railway-involved projects remains very limited.Railway-involved projects are different because their management levels are related to operational safety of railway business lines as well as railway losses during transportation. Therefore, research of agent construction risks of railway-involved projects has more in-depth significance. Quality control over agent construction risks not only increases effectiveness and influence of construction agents but also safeguards railway transportation.Considering that, this research is aiming at:coming up with countermeasures through studying risks of construction agents so as to solving many problems faced by construction agents in the process of managing and implementing railway-involved projects. The research is set on agent construction tasks of several railway-involved construction projects in city J undertaken by J agent construction company. Meanwhile, this paper has discussed risk management for construction agents from perspective of construction agents.In chapter one, the objective and background of this research are raised and theories on agent construction project management are summarized; moreover, research methodology, policy framework and innovative points are introduced.Chapter two is one of key points of this research. In this part, risks of construction agents of railway-involved projects are identified; then a qualitative analysis and a quantitative analysis are conducted to calculate key risks and sequence risks of construction agents in a general way.In chapter three, stakeholder theory and integrated risk management theory are applied to construction a large-scale model for controlling risks of project construction agents.Finally, an empirical research is made in the case of J company’s agent construction projects in city J and a conclusion is drawn.Through studying agent construction management risks of railway-involved projects, this paper has put forward a corresponding risk management theoretical framework that analyzes and solves practical problems encountered in the process of implementing agent construction system. The result indicates that:risk control in the process of agent construction management for railway-involved projects is necessary, feasible and achievable.
