After the two waves of Search engine and Portal site,The Internet is about to usher its third wave,which called Online services.Since the financial crisis, traditional tourism economy has been hit hard.But the Internet is still strong and Online travel is still prosperous.Currently, the Internet has been an important channel for global tourism users to obtain travel information,Online travel has become the most popular form of consumption.As the leading enterprise of online travel industry, The Ctrip is facing fierce competition in the online travel market.While still maintaining the industry-leading position, but its original market share is constantly being competitors encroach.How to maintain a competitive advantage and build long-term effective profit model of Ctrip has become the focus of our research.Because this is not only related to the future development of Ctrip, but also plays an important role in the entire online travel industry profit model construction.This paper describes the background and research methods and ideas, etc.Starting from the environmental analysis of online travel industry.Let "Ctrip’s profit model" as the main research content,analysis its external environment and internal core competitive advantages and disadvantages.On this basis, the paper made recommendations to improve the profit model of Ctrip.And finally, we discuss the implications for the entire online travel industry profit model construction with Ctrip as an example.
