In supply chain, the supplier is located in the upstream of the supply chain. For manufacturing enterprises as the core of supply chain, supplier plays a very important role, the stand or fall of its performance directly affects the competitiveness of the supply chain. In this paper, the research object of J company is a typical manufacturing enterprise. Researcher in the practice of J company, analyzes its status of supplier management, and discusses the major problems and the necessity of its supplier management improvement. At the same time, the researcher puts forward the improvement plans for the company in the supplier management. First of all, the article puts forward the J company supplier selection and evaluation index system, and using the analytic hierarchy process(AHP) to determine the weight of each index. Next, the researcher makes the J company supplier quality system audit of specific measures and standards, and these measures to promote the company’s supplier quality system has played a very significant role. Again, on the basis of the original evaluation index and standard, the researcher puts forward the improvement scheme of the supplier performance evaluation, and establishes the dynamic evaluation mechanism of the supplier’s performance. Finally, the researcher implements the supplier management improvement program in J company, and analyzes the results. In short, it is necessary to improve the company’s supplier management plan, and the improvement measures taken by the researcher are feasible. Although the author has put forward many solutions for the improvement of the company’s supplier management, but it needs to be perfected in practice. At the same time the author hopes to suppliers for manufacturing enterprises to improve management practice in order to provide the beneficial reference.
