Domestic and international experience shows that manufacturing servitization is an inevitable trend of industrial development. On one hand, service economy has been worldwide; on the other hand, world’s leading manufactures have transformed from pure manufacturing to high value-added service activities. During the critical phase of Pearl River Delta’s industry transformation, servitization is a new opportunity to impel industry integration.First, this paper gives a review of manufacturing servitization and its historical evolution, driving factors, relevant empirical research and its practical application. Then, it establishes its theoretical mechanism through the theory of labor division, the theory of value chain and the theory of transaction cost. Then we analyze development status of Pearl River Delta from the sight of both government and enterprises followed by constrain factors, and verify its trends by using input-output method. At last, this paper establishes servitazation paths and policy advices. The main conclusions are as followed: In Pearl River Delta, the correlation between manufacturing industries and service industries is strong in both ways, and positive to industries development. The main constraints including low level of manufacturing industry, imperfect structure of the service sector, lack of services strategic awareness and missing the spirit of adventure. Above all, the development paths of the Pearl River Delta manufacturing servitization are:(1) extend the service chain based on manufacturing value chain;(2) develop service economy on advantage of industry cluster(3) manufacture on the innovation of service industry.
