The Studies On Industrial Integration Of The Greater Pearl River Delta Region

The promulgated of the "reform of the Pearl River Delta Region Development Plan" by the State Council pointed out the direction of the future development of the Pearl River Delta.At CEPA agreement,the Greater Pearl River Delta regions of the economic relations are continuous integration.Strengthening of the economic cooperation and industrial integration between the Pearl River Delta and Hong Kong, Macao,is the inevitable requirement for the Pearl River Delta to promote industrial transformation and upgrading,but also for Hong Kong and Macao to further enhance industry competitiveness.This paper established a linear regression model to do empirical analysis of the Greater Pearl River Delta regions' economic growth and found that the Pearl River Delta in inputs to promote economic growth is significant difference from Hong Kong and Macao,such difference is the basis of industrial integration of the Greater Pearl River Delta region.Through the analysis of the industrial structure in the region, found that there are highly complementary in industry between the Pearl River Delta and Hong Kong,Macao.At the same time,the introduction of CEPA eliminated the institutional obstacles for the Greater Pearl River Delta region to deepen cooperation, which makes industrial integrate fully feasibility.On this basis,this article pionted out the development priorities and basic ideas to proceed with the industry integration in the Greater Pearl River Delta region in the future,as well as gived proposals from the policy wizard,the role of government and institutional innovations with a view to be able to reach the purposes of optimal distribution of resources and economic coordinated development by implementation of industrial integration.The contents of this paper is mainly divided into three parts:the first part including Chapter 1 and Chapter 2,mainly on the definitions of industrial integration, the theory basic and relevant research of the industrial integration of the Greater Pearl River Delta region.The second part including Chapter 3 and Chapter 4,Chapter 3 focus on the analysis of the factors which impact the regional economic growth in the Greater Pearl River Delta factors and the industrial structure to identify the formation mechanism of industrial integration in the Greater Pearl River Delta;Chapter 4 mainly on the analysis of the impacts to industria integration from both manufacturing and service industries in the Greater Pearl River Delta region after the introduction of CEPA.PartⅢis the summary of the results of this study,including the Chapter 5 of the conclusions and the policy proposals to the Greater Pearl River Delta region industrial integration.
