Human economic and social development inevitably along with the increase of fossil energy consumption and CO2 emissions, with the continuous emissions of greenhouse gases, global warming has become one of the major problems the world facing today. If this problem can’t be solved as soon as possible, environmental factors will become one of the biggest obstacles which affect the future development of world’s economy. On the UN climate conference in Copenhagen in 2009, Chinese government promised that, China’s carbon intensity is intend to 40%-45% lower than in 2005 by 2020. This promise has been incorporated into the long-term planning of China’s economic development. Xinjiang as one of the big energy consumption province in China, the carbon dioxide emissions increase constantly in the process of industrialization. There is a long way for Xinjiang to slow down carbon emissions and change to low carbon development model. Under this background, the research of Xinjiang industrial carbon emissions has certain theoretical significance and practical significance to reduce carbon emissions and achieve low carbon economy transformation. This paper first introduces the research of Xinjiang industrial sector’s carbon emissions, the main content of the paper, and the purpose of using methods. Second, through review and analysis the related literature, this paper expounds the factors influencing carbon emissions are the commonly used several kinds of decomposition method, and choose Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index(LMDI) of the IDA method as a research method in this paper. Then from the perspective of evolution of industrial structure and industrial structure in Xinjiang, we analyses the three industries and the evolution of the internal structure of the industry and the relationship between carbon emissions. Through establish LMDI decomposition model which is fit for the field of industrial carbon emissions factors in Xinjiang, the influence factors of carbon emissions include: industrial scale, industry structure, energy intensity and energy structure. Third, we measure the industry sector carbon emissions from 2000 to 2012, analyze the changing trend. According to the size of the carbon footprint we classify 36 industry sectors to three types, respectively analyze the effect of various factors on the impact of carbon emissions how to change every kind of industry. Finally, in order to in-depth and effective research the factors of different carbon industry by long-term effect law of carbon emissions, we use multiple factors regression analysis in this paper. The results showed that, Xinjiang industrial carbon emissions grow fast after 2000, carbon differences between different industries, including heavy industry carbon emissions significantly higher than the light industry. It can be seen from the LMDI model’s results, between 2000 and 2012, industry scale, industry structure, energy intensity and energy structure carbon are four factors which have positive effect to industry emissions. Industrial scale has the biggest contribution to the industrial carbon emissions, energy structure’s contribution is the minimum. From the point of different carbon industry, the four factors have different degree in the influence of the carbon emissions. From the point of cumulative effect, industry scale, industry structure, energy intensity and energy structure all have positive effect on highly polluting industries. Industrial scale and energy structure affects can low the emission industries, industry structure and energy intensity in low carbon industry produce have a negative effects. From three kinds of carbon industry panel data regression’s results can be seen that in the long-term factors on the influence of three kinds of industry changes in carbon emissions is different. It shows the different factors in three types of industry and the differences in the regression coefficient of regression equation. Industry structure, energy intensity and energy structure are the main factors influencing the three kinds of carbon industries, the development of the industry measure by per capita has a weaker influence on Xinjiang industrial carbon emissions.
