With economic downturn and iron & steel industry integration, cost reduction becomes common view for iron & steel enterprise, and raw material purchasing has obvious result for cost reduction. It realizes excellent supplier choosing and high quality raw material purchasing for iron & steel enterprise depending on effective supplier admittance and performance evaluation system for more cost reduction.Raw material purchasing of TG Corporation includes four sections for alloy, coal, ore and refractory material. Because of lacking of supplier admittance evaluation and incomplete performance evaluation, it cannot reflect fairly and truly suppliers ability and supply situation. In the same time, there has improvement room for evaluation feedback mechanism, ways of cooperation and corresponding platform & process.The thesis analyzes domestic and overseas supplier admittance and performance evaluation research progress and emphasizes the importance of quantitative index description. The thesis sets up the supplier admittance and performance evaluation system suitable for TG Corporation by semi-structured interview and group decision under all supply data instead of conventional marking by operator or manager with subjective analysis. The thesis tests the system effectiveness by supply data of electric-coal and high carbon ferro-chrome purchasing data in first half year in 2013. The result shows evaluation system could reflects supplier true representation in order to supply decision basis for supplier survival of the fittest. The thesis also sets up correspond platform, flow and measures to ensure application of the evaluation result and supply basis for data capture in the future.
