As the high speed development of global economy and communication, the competition is increasing fierce and between supply chains within core companys. The suppliers are the keys to win out of market. It’s pushed all the enterprises to have powerful and effective management of his suppliers, in the purpose to get the support and cooperation. It’s the third profit spring and even more important for Company D because he is a manufacturer in industry field within all the material out-sourcing. This thesis is researching the strategy of supplier management to make the source stable and the supply chain in high efficiency and low cost.Based on the theory of purchasing and supply chain management, and the material request of company D, this thesis will firstly classify the purchasing material and its supplier, then rise the corresponding strategy for different supplier types. Moreover, to following up the environment change, the strategy of supplier management need be adjusted according to the market and company itself demand. Finally an example of placing this strategy in supplier management in company D, demonstrates that it brings positive effects in reducing the cost, as well as the risk, and lean the supplier chain.
