Research And Application On Supplier Evaluation In Manufacturing Supply Chain

In the21st century, global economic competition has become increasingly fierce,and competition among enterprises has become that between the supply chains.Currently, the market demand for products and services develops toward diversificationand individuation continuously; product life cycles shorten constantly, and marketuncertainty increases continually. Above competitive environment requires companiesto have strong flexible and strong adaptability to the market. So enterprises have startedto implement dynamic supply chain strategy, and build and restructure the supply chainaccording to market demand through establishing business partnerships, sharinginformation and risks to improve the overall strength of the dynamic alliance members.The suppliers are important dynamic alliance members of dynamic supply, and supplierevaluation and management plays a significant role in the normal operation of thedynamic supply chain. However, dynamic supply chain has characteristics ofcomposition dynamics, management complexity, high-risk.and these make supplierevaluation in the dynamic supply chain becomes more difficult and complex. Therefore,the study, which how to improve the efficiency and accuracy of supplier evaluation inthe manufacturing supply chain, how to improve the follow-up management ofsuppliers based on the evaluation results, is of great significance for the operation of themanufacturing supply chain.For this reason，This paper analysis problems on supplier evaluation in themanufacturing supply chain, and explored the supplier evaluation index system andevaluation model on the basis of the analysis of progress and supply chain managementtheory. The main contents are as follows:Firstly, on the basis of analyzing the background and significance of manufacturingsupply chain, this thesis summarized the d manufacturing supply chain research statusand elaborated ideas and the overall framework of this study.Secondly, we analyzed the concept and characteristics of manufacturing supplychain by contrasting supply chain and supply chain management research, and studiedthe purpose and feature of supplier evaluation in manufacturing supply chain to ensurethe supplier evaluation study could combined inseparably with the actual needs of themanufacturing supply chain management.Thirdly, we evaluated the supplier evaluation index system in t manufacturing supply chain based on the suppliers’ value and risk. So that we take full account of notonly the suppliers’ ability including product quality, product cost, production capacity,level of service and so on, but also the possible risks of the suppliers in the uncertaintycompetitive environment.Fourthly, we presented a suppliers comprehensive evaluation model based onextension theory, the extension analytic hierarchy process of extension theory wasadopted to determine the supplier evaluation index weights to overcome fuzzy judgmentof the evaluators, matter element model and correlation function of extension theoryware utilized to determine the suppliers’ goodness ordering to meet the supplierevaluation features, such as dynamic, open and indicators contradiction. At the sametime, we established a supplier classification evaluation model based on Peter KraljicMatrix to classify the suppliers quantitatively to ensure the suppliers evaluation andmanagement has a definite object in view.Finally, we verified the scientific and operability of supplier evaluation indexsystem and supplier evaluation model.
