Urbanization is an important indicator of the development of human society, the historical task of China’s modernization, and an important stage in the development of social productive forces.Since the reform and opening up, our increasingly high level of urbanization, urbanization development to a certain stage to formatethe special area of the urban fringe.Fringe is a transitional area in urban and rural areas on the basis of geographical systems derived,is the product of interaction of urban and rural areas.It not only provides the raw material for the production of urban life, but also the focal point of regional and rural land use and urban sprawl forefront.With the continuous expansion of the city, the urban fringe land use structure is also changing.Affected by both the fringe of urban construction land use, but also subject to agricultural use.Therefore, solve the land use issues in urban-rural fringe areas, make it meet the needs of urban construction land and agricultural land, has very important practical significance.This paper firstly use qualitative and quantitative methods to determine the scope of Botou urban fringe areas,through land use dynamic analysis, changes in land use to analyze the extent and the Lorenz Curve and Gini coefficient analysis of the status quo within the scope of the land use structure in-depth analysis,then combine Botou population, economic development, industrial structure and layout and the state system policy factors affecting its Botou urban fringe land use structure formation.Through research on land use Botou fringe, its presence can be found to reduce agricultural land,land for construction of excessive growth,land use structure is irrational,highlighting the phenomenon of illegal land use and other issues.For questions on these findings, combined with the actual situation in Botou City, proposed the development of agriculture, a reasonable allocation of construction land, zoning layout enhancements countermeasures.For Botou urban fringe land management provides aid and guidance.
