In recent decades,use/cover change is an ongoing international global change researchfrontier hot areas,but karst urban fringe land use/cover change is an international landuse/cover change in weak areas. Karst urban fringe land use/cover change research is toexplore the basis for the future provision of basic urban fringe land use development,improve the efficiency of land use and urban construction efficiency.In this paper, remote sensing images as the background data, using geographicinformation system technology platform to study the urban fringe with karst Huaxi District,Guiyang city in1995,2005and2013between land use change(The overall time span ofnearly20years, dating reasonable intervals, with great representative).Analysis of thestudy area the past20years, Huaxi District, urbanization and changes in land use spatialand temporal process by comparing the classification method derived: The past20years,farmland and woodland area Huaxi District continues to decrease and the main steeringconstruction land, water and unused land are not small changes, increased construction landmainly obtained from farmland and woodland; land use spatial layout of Huaxi District,also changed. Land use/cover types mutual transformation occurs mainly between arableland, woodland and land for construction, its high conversion rate, the relative increase inthe total size of the construction land a big margin in2005, the area is an area of1.13timesin1995,2013area is1.89times the area in1995, Huaxi District, Guiyang city hasgradually incorporated with the rapid development of the range.This two periods of landuse/land cover types are relatively uniform integrated dynamic degree, but the overalltrends, significantly higher than the1995-2005year period from2005to2013, shows thatin this eight-year period of the study area land use/cover is the most dramatic change.In this paper, remote sensing, GIS and multivariate statistical analysis techniquescombined with applied research in land use change, land use change and Huaxi District, thedriving force drawn from the analysis of government policy orientation and socio-economic development is Huaxi District, land use/cover change the main driving force.Meanwhile,the analysis of Huaxi District Land use problems solving principles andmeasures proposed for the management of land use and protection of Huaxi District, toprovide a scientific basis for government decision-making.
