| The traditional Chinese medicine is the treasure of Chinese civilization, and it counts for much in the 5000 years’ development of Chinese ethnic peoples. The traditional Chinese medicine health and longevity preservation industry is accomplished based on the traditional Chinese medicine technology and it is aimed to prolong life by life cultivation and health preservation. Though it has a long history, the traditional Chinese medicine health and longevity preservation is still on the initial stage as a new industry. It is a question worth research and exploration how to found an economic pattern guided by the market mechanism with the industrial cluster development pushed by local governments so that the cluster development of traditional Chinese medicine health and longevity preservation industry will be pushed and the traditional Chinese medicine will be carried forward. This paper is based on the industrial cluster theory and makes research into the development of traditional Chinese medicine industry in western district of Zhongshan city.The west district of Zhongshan city is a traditional strong economic area,especially the highly concentrated development of service development. In recent years,the biggest hospital monomer hospital in our nation –Zhongshan hospital is accomplished in the newly projected Rainbow area in the western district and leads to the development of the surrounding land and estate industry. In 2011, during the process of making the planning of the 12 th Five-Year Plan in the west district, the decision of our aim of rapid development of health industry is fully taken into consideration. And as well as the question how to take advantage of the resource advantage and the leading role of the hospital to vitalize the surrounding land and property,to strive to develop the Chinese medicine health and longevity preservation industry so that the economic and the society will be developed.With the background here, the paper aims to seek the strategy to develop the Chinese medicine health and longevity preservation industry in west district and make references for the west government to promote measures of decision. In the process of research, the paper is based on the industry cluster theory to analyze first about the current situation, the industrial chain and the industrial cluster. And then about the production factors and the required conditions of the Chinese medicine health andlongevity preservation development of the west district in zhongshan district by using the Porter diamond model analysis. And then analyze the advantages, disadvantages, the chances and the threats of developing the industry using SWOT method. By making comparison between the advantages and the disadvantages, the chances and the challenges of this district to develop the traditional Chinese medicine health industry,the paper reached a conclusion that the advantages and chances are more than the disadvantages and the challenges. And finally, on the basis of the analysis, the paper targeted how to take advantages and avoid the disadvantages and make further step to seize the opportunity and effectively face the challenges as well as bring out the total strategy, the goal, the planning, the policy and the steps to develop the traditional Chinese medicine in west district. |
