Jibei Electric Power Grid Co., Ltd. is mainly responsible for North Hebei electric power market operations, the investment, construction and operation of power transmission, peaking regulation and engineering projects within the jurisdiction of the North China Power Grid. In recent years, along with the increasing expansion of power grid infrastructure and the significant growth of electric power investment, grid operation and equipment maintenance has been increasingly difficult. Meanwhile, the capability requirement for the power grid company to fulfill their social responsibility to respond to emergencies, disaster relief emergency support requirements is increasingly high. The management efficiency and economic benefits of the grid company could be better improved by utilizing the scientific and efficient distribution system. Currently third-party distribution and self-delivery are the main distribution methods for the company supplies. Further, with the increasing amount of projects contracted with its customers, there is an urgent need for the company to construct standardized scientific distribution system so as to provide support for grid projects.This paper studies the distribution system optimization for the Jibei Electric Power Company Ltd.. Firstly, the theory of logistics and distribution planning is reviewed, including the distribution network node location, classification and distribution route optimization and selection methods and distribution patterns. Then the current situation and the main problems of the company are analyzed, including point distribution of materials, material type, and distribution of resources, distribution methods, carrier management, business process management and information distribution level. Based on this analysis, the northern Hebei grid distribution system optimized design is optimized. This paper argues that northern Hebei grid distribution system optimization should follow the principle of "Centralized Management, Centralized operations, and centralized monitoring", optimize the distribution network layout, distribution methods, information systems, carriers and distribution business process management in five areas. Conclusions and future research directions are provided at the end of the paper. This research could contribute to the power supplies and distribution system optimization management researches as well as provide reference for logistics and distribution management practice.
