Research On Application Of ERP Systems In The Power Supply Enterprise Logistics Management

Since attending the WTO, China has achieved rapid development and the competition among enterprises has become much fiercer. With the deepening of power grid enterprises’ reform, the current electric power industry situation of "open both ends regulate the middle" brought a great challenge for power supply enterprises. To meet the requirements of policies, power supply companies have to seek the key factor and improve management and add value. But impacted by historical factors, the power enterprises management level is still extensive and far behind the international advanced level, which prevent the safely and long-term development of power system. Power supply enterprises play an important role in power system and its management level determines the development to some extent, and considering the key role logistics management plays in power supply enterprises, to improve the level of logistics management is especially important. ERP not only absorbs contemporary advanced management idea but also a useful management tool. The ERP system realizes the sharing of different modules information with each other, which can promote the level of informatization and make the enterprises more dynamic and competitive.This paper examines the application status of ERP systems in logistics management in China and other countries, and addressed the principle theory of logistics management, ERP systems theory and the theory of ERP applications in logistics management. By analyzing the characteristics of the power supply enterprises and the current business procedures of logistics management, the paper propose an innovative concept and logistics management module the author defined. It is necessary to apply ERP system to logistics management as a series of problems the power supply enterprises exist. Besides, the paper establishes the overall design objective, the principles and framework of logistics ERP system considering the applying effect of ERP in power supply enterprises. Finally, the paper takes a power company for example, analyzes the demand of a power company’s ERP system, describes the function of module of logistics management in ERP, summarizes the implementation consequences, and proposed measures to solve problems and improve the enterprises value. The paper provides preferences for power supply enterprises to promote the level of logistics management.
