To develop sustainably, the enterprise needs to optimize and improve his productconstantly, especially for the industrialized automotive manufacture enterprise withlarge scale. With the explosive growth of the Chinese automotive industry, the majorautomotive manufacturers, on the one hand, are expanding their product line quickly,on the other hand, struggling to speed up their market reaction, optimize and improvetheir products constantly, in order to gain the dominant position in the competition.And how to increase the market reaction speed and to implement the plannedoptimization and improvement method efficient is the problem which the enterpriseneeds to solve urgently.After25years of development, FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd.(abbreviated as “FAW-VW” in the following) has grown to a large scale enterpriseowning11products of two great brands (VW and Audi) from an automotive factorywith only one product of one brand (Jetta) at the beginning of its foundation. After theincreasing growth with scale, product line and automotive types, FAW-VW is facingalso a series of problems such as the optimization and improvement methods cannotbe carried out according to the schedule and the costs cannot be controlled in theprocess for the product technology and production process changing because ofunclear organizational structure, confusion process and long approval process.Based on the western modern scientific management theories, especially thematrix and flat management theories, this article is to reengineer the process for theproduct technology and production process changing and propose the guaranteemeasures to fit the FAW-VW fast increasing pace through taking the Audi models aspenetration point and analyzing the problems in the Audi model process.So this article has4chapters accordingly: Chapter One is introduction with theresearch background, the significance of research, the research methods and research content. Chapter Two introduces the FAW-VW process status for the producttechnology and production process changing and analyzes the causes for the problem,taking the organizational structure and process of Audi model as example. ChapterThree reengineers the organizational structure and process for the product technologyand production process changing to solve the structure and process problem. ChapterFour puts forward the measures from the aspect of carry-out-plan, information system,human resource and enterprise culture to guarantee the implementation of thereengineering plan.Through the study on massive related literatures, the research on the domesticautomotive manufacturing joint-ventures is still scarce at present. I hope that thisarticle can not only help FAW-VW to solve the process problem of the producttechnology and production process changing, but also provide the reference for theresearch on the other automotive joint-ventures process problems. The problems ofFAW-VW reflect not only its own problems, but also reflect the current generalproblems of the Chinese automotive joint-ventures. Slowing down the marketreaction speed and implementing the product technology and production processchanging inefficient, these problems have hindered the rapid development ofenterprises. Therefore, for the Chinese automotive joint-ventures, to improve theenterprise process for the product technology and production process changinggradually, both in theory and in practice is very necessary.
