Study On The Model Of Tacit Knowledge Transfer In Family Enterprises

Most of the knowledge in an enterprise is tacit knowledge, and tacit knowledge is not easily copied by competitors of the enterprise, therefore the tacit knowledge is the decisive resources for the enterprise to gain the advantage in the competition. The family enterprise is a special form of organization, and important tacit knowledge of the enterprise is generally mastered in the current business owners’hands. Whether the tacit knowledge between the incumbent and the successor can be successfully transferred, will determine the family business can be smoothly inherited to the successors of the next generation, and keep the family enterprise’s core competitiveness. Study on the transfer of tacit knowledge in the family enterprise is still in the exploratory stage. This paper tries to supplement current studies, and attempts to analysis the process of tacit knowledge transfer in the family enterprise. It has meaningful value in a way.Firstly, this paper explains the basic theoretical knowledge of tacit knowledge transfer in family enterprise, and defines the concept of family enteiprises, and analyzes the characteristics of family enterprises and the process of the family enterprises’development in our country, and puts forward the meaning of tacit knowledge in family enterprise and connotation of tacit knowledge transfer in family enterprise; the paper analyzes of the relationship between the tacit knowledge transfer and family enterprise competitiveness; the paper analyzes the influence factors of tacit knowledge transfer exist within the family and within the enterprise.Secondly, the transfer channels of tacit knowledge within the family enterprises are analyzed. The paper explains the relevant theory of pattern to transfer knowledge. Accordingly to the classical patterns of knowledge transfer, this paper builds a general model of tacit knowledge transfer in family enterprises.Finally, the paper analyzes two cases and constructs two models of tacit knowledge transfer, one of which is about the family tacit knowledge transfer and another of which is about enterprise tacit knowledge transfer. According to the analysis of the influence factors analysis and case analysis, the paper presents optimizational measures for family enterprise to transfer tacit knowledge, and to improve the success rate of family business succession.
