This paper takes different jujube cotton intercropping pattern as the research object, based on theeconomics, statistics and econometrics system methodology. The economic benefit of different modelabout jujube grain and cotton in the three southern states (like Kashi, Hotan and Kirghiz Soviet KirgizAutonomous Prefecture, the same below) are studied properly in this paper in order to help local farmersincrease production. This paper tries to find out the best intercropping pattern of jujube, grain and cottonand the main input elements affecting economic benefit of local jujube cotton intercropping, in order tomake full use of space, light, heat water, fertilizer and land resources, give play to their respectiveadvantages of jujube and crop growth, increase farmer income, solve the dual problem of economy andfood security.Based on the survey of jujube grain and cotton intercropping in three regions of southern Xinjiang. This paper analyzes systematically different planting patterns and the input and output of jujube in differentgrowth periods. First of all, the input and corresponding output, including yield, output value, materialinput, labor input, the total investment and net income were analyzed. Secondly it analyses of differentintercropping patterns. We find the economic benefit of intercropping mode is higher than monoculturemode, while intercropping other crops during jujube fruit stage higher than jujube fruit period. On this basis, this paper establishes and analyzes the Cobb Douglas production function model, and finally finds in thepattern in different jujube growth period and different intercropping modes, economic benefits of cottonintercropping jujube is greater than that of grain in the young fruit period, compared with other crops, andthe produced fruit value is greater than the juvenile period. Analysis shows that, the orchard mu productionvalue order: the date (production)-Cotton> jujube wheat beans> date (production)-wheat> jujube(production)-wheat-corn> cotton> wheat corn> jujube (young)-Cotton> jujube (young)-wheat. Theseed inputs produce a significant negative impact on jujube cotton intercropping production, fertilizer, power and labor inputs have significantly positive impact on output, pesticides and water have a negativeeffect on the output, but the effect is not significant.Based on the above analysis and conclusion, this paper puts forward policy recommendationsimproving farmers’ economic benefits. Increasing fertilizer, power and human resources investment andreducing seed inputs will be beneficial to the orchard production. Farmers should further improve fertilizeruse efficiency, disposes reasonably power and manpower, and reduce using seed or choose a more suitableseed, which will improve the economic benefits of jujube cotton intercropping more effectively.
