In recent years, the applied research of the Competence model in enterprisemanagement is a hot topic. And with the practice of the Competence model in theenterprise management, the Competence model has showed its advantages which shouldnot be overlooked. The established management system which fitted the corporateculture was based on the study of the Competence model, has played a better role instandardizing the staffs’ behavior, selecting and training of employees, improving thelevel of the enterprise’s management and other aspects of the important managementfunctions, but the applied research of the Competence model in the performancemanagement especially in the construction units’ performance management is almost ablank. So, research the Competence model has a kind of high practical value which wasused in the construction units’ performance management system.Based on a comprehensive discussion which about the traditional performancemanagement, comparative analysis of the traditional performance management and theperformance management which based on the research of the Competence model,highlighting the performance management was more scientific and advanced which wasbased on the research of the Competence model.At the same time, for the Competence model will be better applied to the constructionunits of the performance management system, the author, through a survey of the firstand secondary data, to carry out a comprehensive survey to the construction units, andanalyses the characteristics and disadvantages of the existing in the performancemanagement system of construction units, and to use a construction unit of a building(hereinafter referred to as H Corporation) as an example, based on a detailedinvestigation for the current situation of the performance management, the author hadanalyzed the current situation of performance management of the enterprise,implemented analysis the background, necessity and feasibility of the performancemanagement reforms which based on the study of the Competence model, focused onthe implementable methods of the performance management based on the research ofthe Competence model, implemented moderate analysis of the performancemanagement which in the H enterprise’ application, extension and maintenance basedon the research of the Competence model. In order to provide a feasible and referencedscheme to the construction units which can successful application the Competence model into their performance management.
