The Effect Of Health Human Capital On Economic Growth

Since reform and opening up, the economy in China has kept a sustained rapidly growth, created a miracle. The traditional economic growth theory has been difficult to explain this phenomenon. As human capital and knowledges as production factors gradually been included into the economic growth model, the new economic growth theory formed. However, when the scholars study the human capital on the economic growth, they always take education human capital only equivalent to human capital, mainly focused on the education human capital, and ignoring the important role of human capital in the process of economic development. Nearly30years, our country economy make a spurt of progress of development, GDP has maintained rapid growth, at the same time, Chinese population health has been greatly improved, but with the continuous development of social economy, imminent population transition problem, the problem of environmental pollution is becoming more and more intensified, the health of every area and population health is facing more and more challenges. Therefore, has important theoretical and practical significance on the contribution of human capital to the economic health.With the growing emphasis on health and measures of health human capital variable data rich, healthy human capital gradually become the new direction of economic scholars research on economic growth. Based on the health human capital and economic growth of domestic and international research literature on human capital, especially the health standard, and the concept, health human capital characteristics, properties are summarized, based on human capital and economic growth theory, analyzed the influence mechanism of health human capital on economic growth. Influence of health investment and the health of human capital on economic growth is analyzed through the establishment of a join health human capital economic growth model. The second part of this thesis, the panel data regression analysis to China provinces from1992to2011, the area of health human capital effect on economic growth and promote.Finally, based on the conclusions of empirical analysis, according to the present situation of health human capital and economic growth, put forward some policy suggestions of health human capital in China:(1) foucus on the health investment, improve the health level of residents in China;(2) pay attention to health service investment, improve the public health service system;(3) strengthen the guide of government, expand the government macroscopic control range;(4) strengthen the health consciousness, widen our health care services;(5) training medical talents, improve the institude of talents flow.
