Lean Production is a management thought, aiming at zero stock and rapidlyresponse for market changes. For a long time, at the basis of eliminating all kinds ofwastes, Lean Production not only reduced the cost of manufacture, but also shortenedthe production cycle, advanced the flexibility of production, and guaranteed thequality. So it is considered the most revolutionary Production management andorganization style in the world. As the intensification of market competition, and theshort supply of the majority of resources, pursuing Lean Production become the trendof every industrial companies.ABC manufacture center is an organization that mainlyprocess various blades of middle and small sized engines. But as the development ofthe production, the market competition is more and more fierce, just depend ing on theeconomies of the scale cannot bring the center the profits needed. Thus how to cutdown the costs and boost its’ productivity, as well as guarantee the quality ofproduction becomes the urgent problem for the center.In this paper, we had a review of the present status of research and application ofLean Production at home and abroad. Then, studied the production organization of themanufacture center, and using the Value Stream Mapping analyzed the Value Streamof the production in the center, figured the wastes in the process of production,reduced the wastes of work-in-process stock and waiting. Compared with the previousproduction, Pursuing Lean Production reduced the work-in-process inventory,improved the production efficiency of certain procedures, shortened the waiting timefor manufacture, thus shortening the production cycle, and bringing the center manyprofits; By production Process re-engineering, made the organize of production moreefficiently, reduced the changing-over waste in the process of manufacture, cut downthe cost of production and management, achieved an easy management, and alsoimproved the production efficiency of certain procedures, shortened the waiting timefor manufacture, as well as reduced the number of overtime working; Through therevolution of the affairs management of tooling, greatly shortened the time forbringing tooling, let the using and borrowing of tooling standardization, improvedproduction efficiency. Compared before and after the improvement, proved that LeanProduction made a great progress in improving the production efficiency and reducingthe cost of the center. Lean Production has a positive and effective effect in improving the competitive power of the enterprise and promoting the mode of intensivedevelopment.
