Research On Production Line Improvement Of WD615Oil Bottom Based On The Value Stream Map Analyzing Method

The Weichai Heavy Machinery Parts Company undertakes production WD615, WP5, WP7series diesel engine sump of Weichai Co., Ltd. OEMs, The sump volume larger lead workers handling inconvenience and great carry. In addition, because the oil bottom shell manufacturing process more, large output, plus the number of handling is much wait for a reason, production rhythm inconsistency, the delivery time of finished product is long, the production status of unreasonable.First of all, after consulting the relevant literature, study of the implementation of the object is production management improvement project of WD615sump in the Weichai Heavy Machinery Parts Company, drawing WD615sump value stream status map based analysis of current situation of production about stamping plant that carry out the improvement project. And the paper described the quantity of the work-in-process inventory about machining process, process operating time, number of employees, the rate of first time through(FTT) and other basic data. These basic data is a basis of future state value stream plan.Second, drawing the future state value stream state diagram based on the principle of lean production value streams. Future state value stream map relative the current value stream maps mainly improved in many ways, like the production process optimization, line balance, improving material handling system (MHS), using Kanban etc.Finally, This paper introduces the project of the future state value stream plan about production balance improvement. After the improvement program implementation, we draw the current value stream map, the current state value stream map as the basis of analysis improvement effect and improvement the next step. Then we analyzed the direct and indirect benefits, the analysis data validation the project of value stream mapping is success.
