A Research Of Inhabitants’ Leisure Motivation And Leisure Satisfaction And The Relationship Between Them In Xiamen Island

With the rapid development of society, people’s living standards continues to improve, leisure is gradually walking into people’s life, and become an important part of life. People enjoy leisure life to the full, also constantly pay attention to the change of leisure way and the improvement of leisure quality. Related studies of leisure is growing rapidly both at home and abroad. As an excellent tourism city, a famous romantic leisure city, Xiamen has been widely researched by scholars in recent years. How to obtain leisure motivation factors, test the inhabitants’leisure satisfaction degree, understand the relationship between leisure motivation and leisure satisfaction by investigating and researching is important to improve Xiamen residents’leisure quality, it can also provides some theoretical guidance for other urban leisure research at the same time.This paper further define the three scientific concept of leisure, leisure motivation, leisure satisfaction, summarize domestic and foreign research progress of leisure motivation and leisure satisfaction by induction and summary a lot of home and abroad literature. On this basis, based on predecessors’ research results, with471Xiamen island inhabitants as the research object, use leisure motivation scale and leisure satisfaction scale from four dimensions of leisure motivation, including intellectual motivation, social motivation, competent-skilled motivation, stimulate escape motivation and six dimensions of leisure satisfaction including psychologica lsatisfaction, education satisfaction, social satisfaction, relaxing satisfaction, body satisfaction and aesthetic satisfaction, and questionnaire survey and depth interview was carried out on some habitants, finally through the SPSS18.0and Amos17.0statistical software to analyze the dates, then discuss the relationship between leisure motivation and leisure satisfaction.The results indicated that the inhabitants at Xiamen island perceived an upper level on leisure motivation, and the average was3.65. They perceived an upper level on leisure satisfaction, and the average was3.61. It has significant difference in leisure motivation on different background such as gender, age and education level except marriage condition, monthly income and career. It has significant difference in leisure satisfaction on different background such as gender, age, education level, career except marriage condition and monthly income. It had significant linear correlation between leisure motivation and leisure satisfaction. It has a close relationship between leisure motivation and leisure satisfaction.Finally, according to research result, combining with the interview situation, putting forward some reasonable suggestions.
