Project progress management is the core of project management and has an important and direct impact on the success or failure of project management.Project progress management is one of the core capabilities of project management.It has always been a hot spot for scholars to study.The critical path method combined with the planning review technique only takes the time factor of the project progress into account,while the Critical chain technology based on the constraint theory considers the human behavior factors and the resource constraints and solves the project schedule delay to a certain extent.At present,the research on critical chain technology mainly focuses on the following two aspects:how to identify the critical chain of a project under single resource constraint;and how to set up reasonable project buffer and transport buffer.The thesis combs the commonly used methods of traditional project schedule management,analyzes and summarizes the problems existing in the traditional project schedule management methods and their causes,and introduces the critical chain project schedule management method based on TOC constraint theory.The thesis elaborates the core idea and implementation steps of critical chain technology,and compares the critical chain project management techniques with the traditional critical path method.It is found that the project schedule delay is mainly caused by the unreasonable estimation of duration and the unreasonable monitoring of the project in the process of project implementation.The traditional critical path method can not solve these problems.The thesis introduces a method to estimate the process duration based on the gray theory,and on this basis,resolves the resource conflict problem under the resource constraints through the heuristic algorithm to identify the project critical chain,calculates the maximum possible buffer combined with the improved buffer calculation method and the buffer calculation method under risk management,And finally shows how to monitor the project's progress in real time during the project implementation through the improved three-color monitoring and buffering mechanism.Based on the related theory of critical chain technology and combined with the knowledge of project progress management,this thesis constructs a project progress management model based on critical chain,applies the model to the actual software development project to formulate the project schedule plan.At the same time,the thesis uses the traditional critical path method to formulate the project schedule plan.By verifying and analyzing the comparison results of the two plans,the thesis finally formulates a reasonable project schedule optimization plan for the project.
