At present,there is growing competition between construction enterprises and the profit ratio is gradually reduced in our country. The construction enterprise face huge challenges. In this situation, the construction enterprise must start from the aspects of production and business operation activities to improve their core competition. It’s very important to improve the overall level of construction enterprise by focusing on the various elements that decided to the competitive ability of the construction enterprise.There are many kinds of method to improve the core competitiveness of the enterprise. In this paper, we mainly research in improving the core competition of the construction enterprise based on the value chain theory and carries on the appraisal. In this theory, the enterprise is a whole to create value, and all sorts of enterprise value activities affect other activities. Value chain analysis is a kind of comprehensive strategic development thought based on the enterprise strategic level. It reinforces the contact point of view that any value activity’s contribution to the enterprise value is not only the activity of appreciation, more important is the connection between value activities; value chain analysis also strengthens the angles of view and extends the research scope of value activities. Since professor Michael porter proposed the value chain theory in 1985,it has attracted high atte ntion of the enterprise and is widely applied in the decision support system research, strategic cost management, business process reengineering, determine the profit growth area and cultivate core competence to establish the competitive advantage of the enterprise.
