NPD usually need large capital include the resource and high technical. Therefore, many people have realized that only depending on interior limited resources is difficult to get the superiority in the market. So, many enterprises readjust their scope of operation to seek collaboration with outsiders. New product Co-development with suppliers is considered as a win-win method which could promote efficiency and quality of new product development by combining the resources, technologies and professional knowledge.However, every coin has two sides, no exception for co-development with suppliers. Without adopting effective preventive measures, these risks could lead to project failure and cause heavy losses to enterprise. The success of projects relies on how to control the risk and how to mitigate the risk. Practices testified that systematic project risk management can guarantee the NPD successfully and it is one of the significant factors to keep the enterprise ahead of the market foreland. The project risk management has received increasing attention by researchers. Therefore, the research of the risk management of new product Co-development with suppliers has the important academic value and practical significance.Firstly, the study subject and object are put forward after introduces the actual case from D company. Then, the thesis tries to explore the characteristics of the new product co-development project and the management theory systematically with the form of theoretical research combining practical operation. In the thesis, we study the general method of risk identification, assessment, prevention and control, and try to optimize the WBS-RBS by hazard and failure mode analysis.
