Research On The Integrated Management System In DKC Company

Two or three management system coexists, they have the same common elements and operate under a united management framework, such a system is called “Integrated Management System” Especially, and an integrated management system is constituted with IS09000, ISOl4000 and OHSASl8000. Setting up an integrated management system can help people recognizing and grasping law of management and establishing an identical management basis. In such an integrated system, managers can dispose man—power scientifically and optimize management structure of the organization; they can enhance the efficiency through carrying out activities which have the same management demands. With the help of the integrated system, management costs would be reduced. These three standards adopt the same thoughts and methods in a management system and their structure is very similar; the demands for their managerial contents and for the rules and methods are same. Therefore, it is feasible to set up an integrated system in theory.This thesis introduced the background of ISO9000 quality management standard, ISO14000 environmental management standard, OHSAS18000 occupational health and safety management standard separately. Then it introduced the process and current situation of the implementation of quality system, environmental system, occupational health and safety system in the company DKC. At the same time, it pointed out the problems of DKC’s management system caused by the independence of these three system, and suggested that the integrating of these systems would be a good solution. Analyzed the objective and possibility of management integrating based on the analysis of resource, cost, management efficiency, difference and sameness between standards, Using the practice of experience of DKC, this thesis discussed the method and approach to integrate the management system, evaluated the effectiveness of the integrating, and analyzed some important points which need to pay special attention to. The objective of this thesis is to summarize the experience of management system integrating, and to provide reference to those small size companies for their improvement of internal management, especially system certificating management.
