Based on the background of S company, to achieve the target of optimizing the cost management for marketing category, by implementing 5W2H way to analyze the status quo and characteristic, then sum up the problems and challenge, finally propose the problem solving solution.Marketing category procurement cost management optimization plan includes four parts, which is to reduce the procurement cost, raise procurement team ROI rate, ensure the compliance of procurement behavior, improve procurement department efficiency by restructuring the procurement policy, process, measurement and strategy. Secondly, update the procurement policy and process, conduct BPO and vendor consolidation strategy to enhance the vendor management in a further way. Additionally, develop and implement the vendor assessment system and measurement matrix. Finally, strengthen the internal communication and training to optimize the cost management of marketing category procurement.Along with the uncertainty of global economy, more and more companies will input the idea of non-production procurement.
