Research On Production Management Improvement Of Engine Assembly Workshop Based On MES

With the speed development of Chinese economy, the market competition especially in the manufacturing industry becomes more and more intense. Facing with the fierce competitive market environment, all the manufacturing enterprises want to keep survival and get developed; they have to improve their core competitiveness in the market by building the excellent Lean Production System. It’s the same in the engine manufacturing industry, if the company could get recognition from the market and customer, they must focus on the production management improvement in the process continuo. The information management system has been used in the field of production management improve, but according to the actual operating effects, it seems impracticable for dealing with the controlling and management of production execution in the workshop because of different reasons.Taking the engine assembly workshop of DEUTZ Engine as the research object, with the background of the factory relocation and the assembly line upgrade, the production process and management were changed, the old production management method doesn’t satisfy the improved standard like product quality, production efficiency and manufacturing cost caused by the increased customers’requirements. It makes the production management improvement to be imperative under such a circumstance.Therefore, this paper takes the assembly workshop as an example representatively, studies the modern production management and the development about MES technology. Under the related knowledge support, by observing the assembly workshop, collecting the data, studying the process and analyzing the current situation about the production management, the paper researches the production management improvement of workshop based on applying MES on solving the problems in the manufacturing process, which focusing on making, transformation and execution of production plan. This paper explores the improvement program of production management in order to achieve the goal that improving the products quality, increasing the productivity and reducing the costs, finally to build a modern informationalized and lean manufacturing workshop.
