The decline of ecosystem service is the essence of global environmental problems, such as global warming, land degradation, food safety, and biodiversity decline. Ecosystem provides service like survival and development for human beings. Its declination directly restricts the healthy development of social economy. The usage of land which as the carrier of various terrestrial ecosystems, directly affects the types and intensity of ecosystem services. Therefore, the impact that land-using change act on the ecosystem services value (ESV) gradually becomes the key theme of ecological research. As a typical area of seriously rocky desertification, the ecological environment of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is very fragile. The scientific and reasonable usage of land is significantly important to sustainable development of social economy and improvement of people’s living standards.According to the relevant data of Guangxi about the changes of land-using from 2009 to 2013, the ecosystem services valuation are calculated and analyzed by referring to the method of Xie Gaodi et al. on the ecosystem services valuation. The conclusions can be drawn as follows:(1) The land-using in Guangxi around recent five years mainly composed of garden, woodland and cultivated land turn into construction land. The absolute values of dynamic degree in a descending order as:transportation land, urban village and industrial land, garden, grass land, cultivated land, other land, forest land, water and water conservancy land. The areas of cultivated land and forest land earn the biggest reduction, while the sharpest reduction rate in the garden area. A substantial increase in the area of construction land, in which the urban village and industrial land area increased the most. The changes of grasslands and other lands are small, which respectively was-0.03% and-0.04%. The land use dynamic of transportation is the biggest, which was 1.57%.(2) From the aspects of the change rate of the value of different ecosystem, the value of transportation land increased most significantly by reaching 7.85%. Construction land is the second as its negative value increased 210.5863 million Yuan, and its change rate was 4.75%. Judging by the variation, the value of each ecosystem services had declined. The value of hydro-logical regulation declined sharply by 0.35%. Food production and waste processing function are the next, whose value decreased by 0.32% and 0.29% respectively.(3) The value of Guangxi ecosystem services gives a downward trend as a cut of 2.446 billion Yuan in 5 years, mainly distributed by the decline in the area of forest land and cultivated land and the increase of the area of urban village and industrial land. The positive service value had dropped 2.099 billion Yuan, while the negative value provided by the urban ecosystem increased 4.75%in five years, which aggravated the decline of the total value of Guangxi ecosystem services. Although the total value of ecosystem services descended slightly, the ESV provided by each land use type changed greatly. The intensity and structure of land use change has a great effect on the constitution of ESV, and the two trends are basically equivalent. Therefore, land use change is the major driver of the change of ESV.(4) ESV/GDP has a decreasing trend, but the rate of decline had slowed; per capita ESV showed a slow downward trend.(5) This article proposed some methods to improve ESV. The suggestions include improving the quality of land resources by strengthening rocky desertification control, reinforcing land use planning and consummating necessary management, strengthening ecological management and environmental protection, establishing eco-compensation system.
