With the rapid development of China’s market economy, small-mediummanufacturing enterprises have increasingly become the basic power to promoteeconomic growth and social stability. But the diversification of customer’srequirement, shorter product life cycles, globalization and the development ofelectronic commerce put the small-medium enterprise into pressure and requireenterprises to speed up the reaction and seek profit from production cycle.Lean production, as a suitable advanced production management mode formodern manufacturing enterprises, is a method to reduce production costs andimprove the competitiveness of enterprises and profit effectively, and to purify thework environment and create a corporate culture. Lean production is the process torefine endlessly, commit to the improvement of every procedure, and the eliminationof the value chain of all activities which do not add value or improve productivity orcontinuous improvement. The competition in the future is the inevitable result of thedevelopment of new products and the management level competition. To cultivate thecompetitive advantage in the management of the enterprise as early as possible,competition in the market will also be in active position. Lean production methods toimprove the competitiveness of enterprises is the inevitable choice of enterprise.This paper analyzed the research and application of lean production in domesticand abroad, expounds the implementation of lean production system and leanproduction theory. On this basis, A company lean production implementation and itseffect are explored. At the same time, some problems summed up the improvementmeasures and create a lean enterprise prospect in order to improve efficiency, reducecosts, improve market competitiveness. In this paper, with a strong operational, theimplementation of lean production have certain reference significance for small andmedium-sized manufacturing enterprises in china.
