Employee creativity is the source of enterprise’s innovation and the driving force to keepenterprise develop vigorously. Chinese enterprises focus on how to stimulate employeecreativity effectively. The research on influencing mechanism between transformationalleadership and employee creativity had received extensive attention since the concept oftransformational leadership was proposed. Existing research mainly stayed on the direct effectrelationship between them, or independent analysis on mediating effect or moderating effectabout individual characteristics or situational factors. Seldom research combined mediatingeffect and moderating effect into a model for systematic analysis.The questionnaire in this research investigated employees from different high-technologyenterprises. A moderated mediation model was constructed in order to reveal howtransformational leadership affected employee creativity, and in which situation the impactwas stronger. Combined the three factors on the mechanism research of employee creativity:Take impact of transformational leadership as the main line, take creative self-efficacy asmediator variable, and to study whether work autonomy moderated this mediation effect. Weused reliability and validity test, variance analysis, pearson correlation analysis andhierarchical regression analysis methods with SPSS20.0statistical software. The resultsindicated that:(1) There were significant differences of employee creativity in gender, age, educationexperience, but no significant difference in nature of enterprise.(2) Transformational leadership had a direct positive influence on employee creativity.(3) Creative self-efficacy played mediating effect between transformational leadershipand employee creativity, transformational leadership promoted employee creativity indirectlyby increasing creative self-efficacy.(4) Work autonomy moderated this mediation effect. Work autonomy moderated thesecond path of the mediation. With work autonomy increasing, the effect of transformationalleadership on employee creativity mediated by creative self-efficacy reduced.This research discussed influencing mechanism of moderated mediation effect in theory,and will be conducive to the further study. In practice, proposed some suggestions forenterprise managers, they should take the advantages of transformational leadership, developthe employee creative self-efficacy, control work autonomy at a appropriate level, thus willenhance employee creativity and enterprise creativity, to ensure sustained and stabledevelopment of enterprises.
